Ji Hyun Woo for Ceci
Breathe. Breathe.
I had no idea scholar Kim Boong Do is hiding THIS under his ancient garb!!!!

I love that the time-travel aspect is an ongoing element in the story. And I love how genuine the romance feels. This series is pure win right now.

JI HYUN WOO as Kim Boong Do in tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday drama block
Queen In Hyun’s Man/인현왕후의 남자. Taking his shirt off for Elle.
I was never into him before but after seeing the drama and this spread, I’m like Whoah!!! such hotness!

I had the same reaction with Ji Hyun Woo as I did with Kimura Takuya <3 (though JHW has nowhere near the same recognition level)— at first I think to myself, he’s not that much to look at, why are all these fans losing their sh*t over this character? And then I see him in action, in this role specifically and I’m like, OMG I get it now, he’s amazing (oh, the myriad & strange switches that get flipped in a nanosecond in the mind of a fangirl). Anyway, as Kim Bong Do he’s super-charming and I find myself really anticipating his reserved little knowing smile at those moments when, in another drama, the hero might scowl or act unaffected.
(Also, I think this is finally the drama that has gotten me past the, “Can’t fully enjoy period dramas because I can’t help but stare at the hat the entire time” issue [wiki tells me it’s called a gat and is made out of horsehair(!) ]. Because he looks hot in both the hanbok and modern dress.)
(Also-Also, I just realized JHW stars in the 2006 series Over the Rainbow, the YA Entertainment R1 DVD boxset of which has sat unviewed on my shelf since last May! Guess what series I’m starting next?)
